Charitable Giving

Every year we have four special charitable appeals.

During Lent, we have special fundraising envelopes available and hold our Saturday morning Lent Lunches to raise money for a chosen charity.

In May we join with the Methodist Church to support Christian Aid Week by holding a fundraising quiz or similar event, by inviting the congregation to use the Christian Aid envelopes and by staffing an appeal in one of the local supermarkets.

In October we run a Harvest appeal by holding Harvest Thanksgiving Lunches every Saturday in October.

Our Christingle Service in early December always supports the work of the Children’s Society and throughout Advent, we have another charity appeal with the collections from all our community Christmas services going to support our chosen charity.
