Thy Kingdom Come 2022
Join the global wave of prayer 2022
Calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ.
During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, it is hoped that everyone who participates will deepen their friendship with Jesus, bring others to know Jesus or know him better, and come to know that every aspect of their life is the stuff of prayer; we invite you to join us.
There will be a Prayer Journal and Novena booklet available in church, and these can also be downloaded using the links below.
The Prayer Journal
Beginning on Ascension Day until Pentecost Sunday, Christians around the globe, from all denominations, are invited to hold as a focus for their prayers a desire for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit – upon them, their friends and the church. The Holy Spirit is God’s promised presence with us, enabling us to be witnesses ourselves of the heavenly Father’s revolutionary love for us in Christ first-hand, and then be witnesses to Jesus to the world. The prayer is quite simply, ‘Come Holy Spirit’.The Novena
Seeks to enable you in your waiting for the gift the Father promised, by focusing on nine particular verses in the first letter of St Peter – one of those present in that upper room. Each day we will take one of those verses and seek to be shaped by it. 1 Peter provides the themes for the Lambeth Conference this summer. It’s a book which opens our hearts to God and lifts our eyes to the worldwide family of God.Register and place your light on the TKC Website
